DESCRIPTION
Immerse yourself in the heart of the magnificent Opunohu Valley on the island of Moorea for an eco-tour dedicated to cacao and coffee.
This guided experience takes you step by step through the journey of cacao, from cultivation to the artisanal chocolate-making process. Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste raw cacao, freshly harvested coffee, and a variety of tropical fruits, depending on the season. As you explore the plantation, you will also discover a wide range of aromatic, medicinal, and fruit-bearing plants, offering a rich insight into Polynesian biodiversity.
The second part of the tour focuses on the post-harvest process, with explanations on fermentation, drying, and the transformation of cacao beans into chocolate. To end this sensory adventure, you will enjoy a tasting of artisanal chocolate and plantation-grown coffee.
To make the most of your visit, we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, walking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.
Guests need to be able to negotiate a slow 30+ minute stroll through our farm on uneven ground.

8:00 AM — Pick-up from your place of residence or meeting point (hotel, guesthouse, ferry, etc.) on the North coast of Moorea.

8:45 AM — Scenic discovery of the Opunohu valley (mountains, rivers, pineapple fields, and more)

9:00 AM — Guided walk through the plantation. Learn about cacao and coffee cultivation.

10:00 AM — Full explanation of the post-harvest process and chocolate-making, followed by a tasting.

11:45 AM — Return to the pick-up location.
